extra wide baby gate

Hi

Looking for a baby gate to cover around 3.5M gap. We have open plan living/dinning/kitchen and need to keep our son ion the living area.

We have about a 3.5M gap to block.

I am struggling to find anything decent.

Don't want a play pen as we don't have the floor space for it.

I know lots have kids on here, has anyone done similar and can recommend anything?

You know some playpen's open out from the hex into a straight line, to cover the distance you are looking for, and can be attached to ether side, with a gate which opens, to allow ina dn out access.
They basically function as a gate.
I can't think of any other option, but an expanded playpen as a gate/barrier.

Difficult to put up something non permanent that size, maybe bungee rope?

Hauck play pen, can be used as a long gate with fixings included. The six panels give a total length of 3.66m and additional panels can be bought and added.

Lindam or babydan do similar products.
