*** The Official Destiny Thread (now includes 2.0 and TTK) ***

I'm game for Sunday too, in trouble with the misses so no play tonight.

I'm out on the lash all day tomorrow.. so Sunday will be best but I'll probably be hungover. Unless I get a Sunday lunch down me...

I think I'll struggle for Sunday. I'll be about on Monday, but a sub might be a good idea so you can get it finished off tonight.

Dat WOTM Aksis challenge mode though. If your a second off its a wipe.

Finally got him down with Parsnip and some Reddit LFGs though after a lot of trying. Just Atheon and Deathsinger challenges to do now.

What happened to Davie? Assume your tinternet went down. You saved yourself some stress hehe.

I honestly don't know what crack Bungie is smoking when they said "Atheon is the hardest challenge we've ever done".

Aksis is so dependant upon communication and exact timings, the margin for error is extremely thin, we wiped so many times with literally milliseconds of difference between discharging in the plate and stunning Aksis.

I can say with absolute honesty that I am never, ever, doing that challenge again.

If you've managed to do it on 390.. pat on the back. It's probably the hardest thing I've done since Mile High Club..

Props to Rooster for not choking, like I did one run, and getting the final slam.

Thank the lord!!!

Hoping to be finished work, home and Destiny on for 9pm if anyone is thinking of Crota tomorrow night.

Need to at least do maze and Crota for Necro and Deathsinger challenge and some adepts would be nice :D

If not tomorrow night then I'm free all weekend gents.

Gutting my internet was playing up :( So I played the witcher most of the night, don't need internet for that.

Internet seems to be stable now so I'm up for what ever tonight or tomorrow. That's if I can drag myself from the witcher :p lol

Nice one on downing Aksis :)

For both I would suggest having a third person who we know rather than a random.

The Spindle "mission" is still a pain even with 3 people at 400 light. The sheer volume of adds can get overwhelming if you don't keep on top of them. Plus it feels like match game is on. G'horn barely took the shield of a Taken wizard (240 light...).

The Sword strike has matchmaking so.... yeah.

spindle mission is easy if you use the following strat. last 3 times i have done it to help others i've done it first time with 5 mins to spare. all i had to do was explain the strat to them and boom we did it first time.

strat - 2 titans with blessings bubbles. all 3 using scout rifles and exotic swords. secondary slots you can choose between shotguns and snipers but you do need minimum 1 shotgunner and 1 sniper. if your third isn't a titan make sure he is a hunter with tether or golden gun with symbiote up until the last room where he needs to run celestial nighthawk. it's better if he is a titan though as it makes it safer/quicker to run this strat with 3 titans.

clear all rooms as quickly as possible. this is why you use swords they do the most DPS. gjallahorn only has 7 shots compared to a sword with 50. i basically pop a synth as soon as i have loaded in to the mission. then i don't have a 5 min cooldown. i sword every add to 1-2 hit them. the key here is not to die. which is where the blessings bubbles come in. pop a panic bubble if your about to die. whoever is running sniper get them to focus on adds that are far away, the wire rifle vandals, etc.

the first encounter is all about clearing adds. tether is useful here if you have a hunter with all the usual perks for range and orbs. pop bubbles too for health and share orbs. it's essential you keep orb chaining. if you have a super and you still have adds near you, use it.

when you go up the floaty thing the next room you have 2 stay back around the doorway with scout / sniper / swords. the other goes left with shotgun to take out the shielded captain / wizard. you want your best player going far left as it's a bit of a suicide mission. they will need to use a bubble to survive. whoever goes left uses shotgun / sword to kill all adds in the back left of the room. the other 2 should be swording anything near them or sniping anything further back with either scouts or sniper. especially the acolyte eyes, sniper them ASAP.

use swords mainly though it's the quickest way to kill enemies. use the swipe rather than slam. no point using 10 bits of ammo when 1 does the job. pop a synth when you run out and continue swording everything. 3 people running swords and it's a breeze with 2 blessing bubbles for extra health.

tank room is more of the same. pop bubbles for health. you want the sniper focusing on adds up top at the back on the ledge as soon as you all run in. it's essential they do this, sniper focus on adds not on the ground. the others should sword everything in sight. chain supers you will need blessings in here. keep jumpin in and out of bubbles. sniper/shotgun wizards. usually best if you have 2 shotgunners tbh with 1 sniper. if you take a shield down call it out so everyone focuses DPS on that add.

the last room - you should be heading into this with plenty of time. i can't remember exactly how much it's maybe 20 mins of time still on the clock. all 3 of you need to pop a synth here for your swords so clear adds whilst waiting for cooldown timer but stay safe and don't use any supers. when ready jump up onto the ledge and pop a bubble either side of the boss on the ledge. the third should tether or celestial the boss or if they also have a bubble keep it. all 3 of you should be on the ledge now with 2 bubbles swording the boss. move in and out of the bubbles to stay alive. focus on swording boss. when the bubbles run out he should be down to 20% health. you will all die when they run out. revive after 30 seconds and either wait for supers by clearing adds or if you have that third titan jump onto the ledge and pop a single bubble and sword the boss, it should give other 2 titans orbs for their bubbles. sword him to death. as soon as he is dead all bubble bros need to switch to hammer bros (this is essential don't forget this, have someone call it out). now clear adds. focus on staying alive. chain supers. as soon as you have hammers pop it and go HAM.

room should be cleared soon enough and boom you have completed it with 5+ mins to spare. if your waiting on a cooldown of a super or heavy just clear adds. you need full heavy and full supers for when you jump on that ledge. also remember to switch to hammer bro when he's dead. it's the quickest way to chain supers and clear adds.

Annoying that we're forced to do it again for the book. Like you said, such fine timing, if you're slamming you have to commit to the jump and trust the supercharger hits his plate while you're mid air! LFG makes it much harder, had it all over the weekend....

"Oh yeah he doesn't have a mic"
"His controller disconnected and he has to restart his PS4, this happens all the time" < WTF
"Do you know where to stand in mid" - "Yes, of course I do" - Misses slam in mid
"He's right, who's empowered right?....."

Finally got it done with a group of LFG guys that I basically collected and got them into one good team :D Just before our final clear we missed 2-phasing by a tiny amount and had to do a 3rd round with no damage, and a guy who had been perfect all the way through missed the very final slam, we just laughed it off and got it done next round.

Up for Crota this week, give me a shout if you have spaces. Likewise if anyone needs help with Spindle etc, just add / message me
