Dehumidifier Needed

Dehumidifier can make people ill, I would recommend finding a better solution, especially going into the summer, he can have his window open during the day? Leave his bedroom door open? Or as someone else mentioned, the snake might not need it that damp in the 1st place

the snakes he has are royal pythons ( i know nothing about snakes ) , he claims the viv and room need to be humid...we have had much trouble trying to get him to leave the window / door open .

Yeah in my opinion he needs the windows open a little everyday , which is going to happen or he will have to find somewhere else to keep them

and thanks for everyone's input :)

The room certainly doesn't need to be humid, the snakes live in the vivarium!

As said above for those snakes he will likely only need a small increase on the natural humidity if anything at all, by a hydrometer to monitor the humidity in the Viv and adjust as necessary.

Do you have a source for that? Genuinely interested as I have used them for well over a decade.

I would never run one whilst someone is in the room, no way. During the summer, unless the room has little to no natural light or opening windows, then opening the window is best option but may not necessarily remove adequate humidity from the atmosphere to resolve the issue.

If you are sensible with them, they should be ok
