Hi can anyone help me? I've had this issue since i got this computer, but usually on the 2nd try i will get an "over clocking failed" message, id then restart, go into the bios and exit without saving changes and then it would work.

Today i have had the overclocking failed message once and ive sat here for an hour and it wont boot up. The furthest i have got too is the black asus loading screen.

Can anyone please help me?

Thanks

Hiya yeah it says profile 1 but i changed it too default and had no luck.

Ive arranged for it to be taken back to overclockers but is there anything i can do to maybe just do it from home? The time away will end up costing me a lot of money by not having the system to work off I am absolutely gutted :(

Thanks all :)

Hard reset the BIOS by unplugging the PC and shorting the 2 CMOS reset pins on the motherboard. Plug back in, boot, Go into BIOS and load optimised defaults, save and exit.

mine does a similar thing on a gb z170 mb with custom bios to oc a non k 6400, if I have it in non oc mode,i just have to reload the profile once or twice and it works.

Sorry mate I have no idea what any of that means. I'm literally terrible at all everything to do with hardware etc.

Is there a way to explain it like i'm 5 haha

Sorry for the noobness

Thanks :)

Get your motherboard manual. Look for BIOS reset or CMOS reset. Follow the instructions.

If you do this you WILL lose the overclocked profile though. Do OCUK provide the BIOS profile online or an a USB stick, or just saved on the BIOS itself? IF the latter you'll need to ask OCUK for the settings again.

Thank you mate. I'm not sure if they do but I can phone up and ask.

I'll have a go at what you said, thank you for your replies :)!

Also I can live without it being overclocked. I could always get my brother to overclock it as he knows whats what on PC's he's just not around as of now.

Shell I just go ahead with the reset you said?

Thanks :)
