Hey,

I moved back to the UK a while back, but i think my Google Play account is still region locked to the US, so I can't download some apps that I need (e.g. Three, MBNA).

Is there any legit place to get the apks please? Obviously the banking apps are quite sensitive, so I don't want to download from dodgy sources!

[edit] Came across apkmirror, but seems like anyone can upload...?

Cheers,

Su

As above, just create a UK account, you can have multiple accounts on your phone.

APKMirror is fine, it checks the signature of the apps with the Play store to make sure they're legit.

No need to create a new account. Just change the address of your account to your UK address. There are guides on changing playstore country. Just google it.

Yeah I'd like to avoid the faff of multiple accounts on phone... will it mess up my US stuff if I change my account address to UK though?

The good thing about having one account is that you get to keep all your purchased apps in one account. Its a mess to have 2 separate accounts.
The only downside I can think of is you could lose access to US only apps. Like Bank of America, etc.

edit: You will also not be able to use any credits oleft on your google play balance if you change country store. It will still be in your account but wont be able to use it until you switch back to the US store.
