Madeleine McCann investigation 'cost £10 million to date'

I see they are getting interview coverage again on Sky News while I was flicking through the channels.

Still believe they accidentally killed her and covered it up, or she killed herself with something in the room like hanging from the blinds cord or something (by accident ofc)

There is far too much contradicting stories for them not to be involved in some way.

Given that Madeleine was seen alive by witnesses at 6pm, and her parents were dining at a tapas bar by 8:20pm, can you describe the timeline of Madeleine's death for me please?

Bearing in mind that the entire venue was crawling with tourists, how did her parents successfully kill her, remove the body from the apartment, and secrete it somewhere else (where?) within the space of two and a half hours, without anyone noticing what they had done?

Are they the world's greatest criminal masterminds?

rather a dubious way to frame it though I guess it sells newspapers

AFAIK they were then being treated as suspects there so went along with legal advice from their lawyer and no commented the whole police interview... which is pretty much the most sensible thing to do in most cases when you're a suspect being interviewed by the police

I'd prioritise helping police to find my missing child over a possible false imprisonment, seems they were more worried about protecting themselves.

I'm pretty sure if I'd just had a young daughter taken I'd have been talking non stop at the police and answering every question they asked!
The McCanns come across as very cold and calculating IMO.

this story re: these interview questions is also about 9 years old - it is just being recycled by the press now as a result of the anniversary

Actually that's the worst thing you can do when been questioned. What's even more perverse the police where trying to find their missing 3 year old daughter.

Why do you think that it is the worst thing you can do when being questioned? It seems to be the standard advice in a lot of cases by solicitors.

As for it being 'perverse' these questions pertained to what she did after Maddie had already disappeared - the focus being on her as a suspect not on how to best find Maddie.

Any solicitor worth their salt will not tell their client to answer no comment to every question, and its not standard advice at all.

So you think asking questions does after a crime does not lead to further clue's?
