So i have decided to up my game and have just ordered a Asus ROG Swift PG279Q for my setup..

The problem is, i'm genuinely not happy with the size of my desk.. Its from Ikea where i bought the legs separate.. it feels very shallow and too compact when trying to get anything done on it..

I'm potentially looking for a corner setup because i have a lot of Uni work to do and wouldn't mind a separate section for my laptop..

Any help would be much appreciated, this is the current desk:

Even that desk is still only 600mm deep. Not much good if the OP feels that his existing desk is too shallow.

My current desk is 800 x 1800mm which is just about deep enough. The front of my central monitor's panel is about 600mm back from the front edge of the desk.

Looking at the OPs current setup I'd seriously consider wall mounting the monitor. The existing desk could then be pulled away from the wall and would effectively gain about 200mm of usable depth.

Could OP wall mount his screen instead? That would give more usable depth to the existing desk.

EDIT: Sorry just seen that was mentioned above too.

No problem mounting a LCD monitor to plasterboard if you use suitable fixings (they don't weight very much, and the weight is basically straight down).

If you mount the bracket with something like this you could swing from it.

Corner setup for sure, you won't go back, which corner desk? no idea, sure you'll be able to get something, maybe go 2nd hand off ebay

What about a Fredde desk from Ikea? It gives you a lot of vertical space and has two platforms for the PCs. Here's mine (please excuse the super messy wires. I had to pull it all apart at the weekend and haven't had a chance to cable tie them back tidy):

Love that desk shame its too wide for me boo :(

Also wish Ikea would do deeper short desks

Panic over, had a little trip down to warrington, this desk is huge compared to my last, plenty of room for everything :) Good old Ikea
