Dyson v8 worth it over v6

IF you need a small hand-held, then much more manouverable (and aesthetic), get a Ryobi cordless vac with the lithium battery pack for probably 1/3 of dyson cost ?

Interesting, that battery would then also give me batteries to use with their power tools. Can you buy it with the battery/charger? I can only find the body and then it's ~£80 for the battery/charger which puts it closer to £100 and i imagine for that there are better vacs available.

Have you used it? I had a black and decker dustbuster vac that was like the Ryobi and it was rubbish.

I replaced my 7 year old corded dyson with the v6 this weekend and wow this little thing is impressive. I had already hovered friday evening so wasnt expecting much on sunday but I filled the container twice just doing the hall stairs and landing. I know its not a big container but thats a lot of crud considering I thought it was already clean

The old ones going down the tip lol

the old one probably just needs new filters everyone forgets that when you loose the bag you just replace it with a different filter to clog up. Certainly don't tip it list it on facebook/ebay and someone will buy it!

Ive not tried new ones I do clean them out regularly thought although im sure that doesnt give a like new performance. Might try some new ones but the convenience of the new unit would make me wonder if im ever going to use it again anyway

Parents have now bought two of these dam B&D's ~£50 the non-li battery lasts <10min and you can hear it stressing,
so although I have not yet bought the ryobi the good Amazon reviews £22 , plus the battery/charger
for £65 or 3rd party battery sounded good.

Personally I want something that will clean inside the car too, so imhop anything without a flexible tube and upholstery/nozzle tool is not a contender, including the v6

Flog it, someone will pay a decent amount for it, never skip a dyson!

Been considering the V6 or V8 recently, I hear the Absolute versions are the more powerful motor and better cleaner. This could be the reason why many are suggesting different opinions on them ie they have the normal version or the animal version and its not good as the normal vac etc

Not owned any myself but you can see with so many different models its going to be tricky to get a good read on it.

I recently brought the Shark cordless, its not bad at all but even @ £150 it was not worth it and barely cleaned any better then a £30-40 cylinder vac.
Dirt also got stuck easily and it had issues with dirt being emptied out.

I also had a miele complete c3 (top end model) excellent vac overall, powerful suction and clean air pumped out after, but totally let down by its poor
quality plastic/rubber wheels. Even for a strong muscular bloke like myself I found dragging it around was too heavy and annoying, even the £30 vacs have
giant wheels and move and glide easier across the carpet better, not sure what those german engineers are doing frankly its like making a car with 3 tyres.

I hear that is one of the big improvements with V8 over V6 the dirt empties better and the motor is stronger on V8.

Dyson have a 20% code on there ebay outlet store currently making the V8 reconditioned unit about 300 quid I believe. Check hotuk deals for other offers or dyson website also for offers.

Dyson also have a money back system if you are not happy with it you can return it within 14 days for your money back, ill eventually have to make the purchase and see if the Dyson is worth it !
