So my son has had his xb1 for a while but as I already had an account I setup it up with my user name and gold account, ive just bought myself a xb1 s as theres a few games on there I fancy playing again but usually when hes in bed and its in his room,

Basically the question is do I need two gold accounts or can I share it over the two consoles? I seem to be reading mixed comments when ive been looking

Cheers

Keep your xbox account as his "home console". Hell be able to use live as if he has a gold account and play any games you download.

You'll be able to play games and your saves pass over via the Internet, no issues. Only problem is you'll need internet to then play them on your xbox

ok so set his machine as the home console but he can sign in as whatever, I can then sign into my account on the new console and we can both share the gold games etc? Both consoles will have internet connection

Yes. You don't need to ever even been signed in on his xbox, works great.

As The Craig said it is one of the best features on Xbox One and very under rated, make sure you add his accounts to your Family to get the most out of it.

Saved me a lot of money, no extra copy of live, no 2 copies of Games and their season passes. OK I have to buy all digital but its worth the extras couple of pounds over any savings from buying games off Amazon or where ever.

It even works with EA access games. £20 a year on the Master account, and everyone can play on the home console.
