11 year old girl dies at drayton manor theme park

Looks like a tragic accident, I wouldn't say the 11 year old girl was at fault, she's just an 11 year old girl, we all make silly mistakes when we're young. I don't think the park is at fault, clearly it's been operating for a long time and there's no inherent design flaw or human error. At worst you could say an adult should have been on board, but it's easy to say that in hind sight - you would reasonably expect that nothing is going to go wrong.

With regards to the DM article, they were most likely highlighting the fact that the school was an Islamic school because schools shouldn't be creating divisions in society by having mostly children from any one background in them. This is the issue I and many others have, where cultures don't integrate into British culture (or infact any native culture), they simply exist alongside the local population creating segregation.

Yeah, sure. That's what the DM were doing. Most likely.

Loads of COE and Catholic faith schools near me though. What's the difference?
They're inclusive of other faiths and certainly at the Catholic high school I attended we were educated about other faiths.
There were plenty of kids from other denominations as well as religions in the school.

Which is of absolutely no relevance to the article or incident whatsoever

It doesn't really matter though, they're a private company and aside from printing things that are knowingly not true they have no obligation to print things that are 100% relevant to the story. Essentially if people keep buying the Daily Mail they'll keep printing it. Same with every other news paper.

Haha the explanation of the DM headline.

You have got to hand it to the DM, they not only know their loyal readers well but have them trained enough to pull out all this integration and segregation crap with just a mention of the word Muslim in an article about theme-park tragedy.

Does it not indicate, quite strongly, towards their agenda(s)? If it doesn't I really don't know what would...

They write what their readers want to read, The Guardian is equally as biased in their Liberal views; though if you share those views you might be less prone to notice them.

Lol oh give over will you?? Another DM apologist lol. It's nothing to do with what you just said, it's just DM being the racist, xenophobic and bigoted paper that they are. And getting as many clicks as they can by putting out that sort of headline. It has FA to do with the death of a girl at a theme park.

I expect you feel the same about Christian and Jewish only schools?? You share the same outrage as you do with Muslim only schools??

Bit surprised they were not strapped in especially as the same thing happened a few years ago.
Luckily the young lad survived.
They're not about to strap people in when there's the outside chance of the whole thing flipping and drowning people 6 at a time or however many go in at a time.

The faith of the girl or the school have absolutely no relevance to the incident and don't really need to be mentioned - other than the questions/assumptions on adult supervision.

A little girl lost her life

Are these theme parks getting worse or something else? I don't remember hearing so many incidents like this in the past since Alton Towers and such.

Considering the rides have been in place for many years...I think something else is the solution. Quite possibly slipping instruction standards for staff or lack of discipline from users.

Nothing seems to change. :o

You know that crap lessons have to be learned?

Obviously a travesty but it does make me wonder how this even happened.

Alton Towers have a very similar ride and i'd suggest it's nigh on impossible for you to fall out of it unless you were standing up or messing around.

It's already confirmed she was standing up. Apparently trying to move between seats.
