I remember the film of this, quite enjoyed the film and I liked the short story too, didnt know that they were bringing out a tv series of it.

There seems to be a lot of TV shows based on films recently. Hopefully its better than The Exorcist as that was a bit rubbish. The Mist film was great, but I'm not sure how it'll work as a tv show.

How on earth did I miss this one! Hope it turns out to be good for once. Damien and Exorcist I couldn't get into at all. The former I'm hoping will get better.

Remember what they did with the Stephen King book "Under the Dome"......? Goodness knows how that ran for three seasons.

Hopefully this will be better, it would be difficult to be worse, unless you count Wayward Pines.

I enjoyed the movie, not as much as the short story it was based on though.

This looks promising. Hope it's better then Under the Dome, that was a bit poo!

Hopefully they will go into better detail about what happened at the Black Mesa facility in the film.

I kind of liked Darabont's film version, not a fan of the ending though. Watched the trailer for the TV series and looks really good, will be giving it a go as I'm a huge King fan. Shame Under the Dome was ****.

I was reading an article yesterday about TV adaptions of King's novels - interesting to see that none of them actual survive very long - Under the Dome lasted longer than all the rest of them.

Mr Mercedes is also being adapted for TV, makes me wonder if they do series one as the first book, series two as Finders Keepers and series three as End of Watch - each book is quite different, or will they depart from the books? Also the Dark Tower companion TV series to the movie is due too and is supposed to link into the movie series (assuming other movies will be made after this first one).

The Mist TV series has potential to tell quite a lot of stories from various pockets of survivors and explore the origin of the Mist and what creatures it contains, I'm looking forward to seeing it.

Looks like they've messed with it?

Loved the movie (my first ever Blu-Ray :)) but this seems to have the mist making people loopy instead of there just being monsters.
Still... I'll give it a whirl !!

There's no plot spoilers here, only my opinion on whether the show is good or bad, but I'll pop it into spoiler tags anyway to be on the safe side...

Well, I just struggled through the first 20 minutes of the worst TV and characters I've seen in a LONG time.
Then turned it off. Maybe it got better... I'll never know :p

The whole thing stinks of special *********, touchy feely social commentary, and that's just not what I'm looking for.
A pity, I loved the movie and was looking for something new to watch.

Ho hum..... :(

Yowsers. Think I'll skip it. Thought the film was brilliant; even so as Halfe-life was also based from the original Stephen King novella.
