No, not the shop.

Looking at going to see the northern lights, blue lagoons, see the waterfalls etc at the end of the year.

Anyone recommend a company to do this with or just book everything myself?

Anything else worth doing when there?

Iceberg / whale / dolphin spotting on a boat. Fantastic views. easy Nuff to book all the tours you want separate. Bus comes to your hotel to pick you up etc.

Just be aware if you are planning to visit or do stuff that means crossing through some of the major volcano areas/attractions some of them are quite active seismically at the moment and you might find the roads closed, etc. (so check ahead) though most of the stuff you've listed I don't believe goes anywhere near any of that.

We went in February. Prepare your wallet, it's bloody expensive. Absolutely amazing, stunning place though. It's just ridiculously picturesque. We absolutely love it.

We booked everything ourselves (well, my girlfriend did - it was my 30th birthday present) and used Reykjavik Excursions for the tours, transfers, and whatnot. They were excellent.

I had better luck seeing the lights in Tromso, Norway. Our trips in Iceland were cancelled 3 out of 3 nights we were there. A shame because the golden circle tour showed off some really nic e scenery. Would love to back and explore the rest of the island one day.

Ooh I like the look of that city, I'll put it on my to do list especially if I go Iceland and don't see the lights.
Treat the northern lights as a bonus they can never be guaranteed. The country is beautiful enough to be worth the visit without! Think London prices and you won't be far wrong the food is amazing though!

went there a few years ago for a weekend away. Gobsmacked at the natural beauty of the place. There are plenty of tours to do and I'd recommend them. Really need to look at getting the mrs over there as she always says I bang on about how good it was :) . Went in June and weather was good and it completely throws you that it doesn't get dark on an evening >.<. Its expensive but well worth it in my opinion.

What's the ideal sort of time to stay over? 4 days? Bit longer?

Depends what you want to do. The norm is 4 or so days. E.g. golden circle, whale watching, blue lagoon or secret lagoon and a day in Reykjavik. There is certainly enough to see to stay longer
