Races where you get muddy.

Raising money for charity is good and expecting posts not to crop up on social media about it now seems rather backwards, it's the times we live in. If it bothers you that much then remove them? I'm sure they won't miss you too much considering how anti-social you come across :p

Now I understand why you moved to Sweden, land of the cuckholds and non-existent small talk :D

Life isn't challenging or dangerous enough so people invent their own challenges and dangers. It's why I ride a bike up big hills, and why some people run around in mud.

Isn't this pretty much the exact sort of thing social media is for? Doing stuff and posting pictures of it for your friends to see?
Can't say it bothers me, although I don't compete in these events myself (I don't really enjoy running, prefer cycling)

The obstacles with electric shocks aren't too bad as they don't hurt too much and you can mitigate them by dodging some of the wires. The icey ones however are horrific... I did it when I was 30 though? Do I get away with it? :p

Alas having agoraphobia makes doing things like that a tad tricky. I guess I could just fill my cellar up with mud and crawl through that to recreate the experience?

Get a few "professional" ladies in and that could get interesting! :)

What level of pre midlife crisis must one under go to post pictures on social media of yourself covered in mud after doing some assault course? #tuffmudder #late30s #middleclassteambuilding.

:p

People have always done this but without the social media thing.
You know they have to let everyone in their 'friends list' know that they are doing something / anything because it justifies their existence, and after all those likes really do make it all worthwhile.
