Liquid AIO cooling

I've always been tempted to try out a AIO type cooler but, regardless of how rare it could be, the thought of having a leak would horrify me. I have read that Corsair have been reasonable to compensate for damage when it does happen, after a period of time to inspect and settle the claim. But at least with a large tower cooler the worse that could happen is that a fan could stop working.
I ended up with a Cryorig R1 Ultimate cooler instead of the Corsair H115i that I had been thinking about, it also seems quieter when the CPU is under full load as well than what a AIO can typically be.

I'm not sure how other AIO manufacturers would respond to cover the damage caused if their system sprang a leak...?

I think most morden motherboards have failsafes when they decect a short. Also a lot of high end graphics cards will take a fair of water before they die as there coated in some anti spill coat. I know this for a fact when my custom loop leaked from a fitting straight into my gpu. Just strip and dry it out, worked fine :>

Also AIOs are getting better and better so the risk of leaks are very small now. The pumps more likely to die first

I'm not too sure though as the TDP, a bit of a generalisation maybe, of CPU's are getting lower an air cooler does a mighty fine job with absolute zero risk of leakage at all. However, not sure why, I'm still drawn to wanting one but I know that the Cryorig R1 Ultimate does a more capable job with no pump noise or excessive fan noise. They are too big tho in my opinion, albeit I rarely look inside the case...!

I so still read, as you would expect them to be posted, of leaks occurring but probably that is a very tiny fraction of the many sold.

Still would be interesting to know what other manufacturers would do in the event of system damage if a leak should occur.

I wouldn't worry at all about leaks. I ran one of the very earliest water coolers - my old zalman single radiator cooler for 4 years with no problems. Newer more modern AIOs would have even less problems I think. Although I've heard of the newest Captain coolers are plagued with leakage problems - dodgey looking elbows I think on the pipes.
