Zotac 1080ti, Palit 1080ti or wait for Vega?

Afternoon All! Yep, it's another one of these threads. With the falling prices of the 1080ti range (heading rather close to £600 for some) and the (eventual) arrival of Vega I've decided to sell my 970s before they reach the sub £100 mark which will of course mean getting a new card. My current choices are as follows:

ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1080TI AMP
Palit GeForce GTX 1080TI Super Jetstream
Wait for Vega and hope that they have a card that matches or beats the 1080TI

So then, what shall it be? I'm leaning towards waiting for Vega.

The 1080Ti prices are likely to drop slightly more close to the Vega release/post release. See how Vega performs and then you'll likely be able to make a decision then :)

don't wait for Vega, it's merely a similar slightly less powerful competitor based on the leaks of the 3 variants in 3dmark. In game performance should be similar so nvidia are unlikely to need to change price by more than £50. If you are happy to spend £50 to have the best a few weeks earlier get a 1080ti now.

Zotac make really good cards so if you can get a good deal, don't wait, just get whatever you want and be done with it. Even if the price drops by £50 or so, who cares, at least you have your card and enjoy it for 2 months before the first vega models even hit the market.

Wait for Volta but no point waiting for vega (it's already here and has been for nearly a year!)

I would wait for Vega as its very close to release, people may be dismissing it but for all we know it could beat the 1080ti. And even if it doesn't it very likely have some impact on the nVidia price structure.

But between the two 1080Ti cards id go for Zotac

Yeah... Very close to release...I feel like I have been waiting for it for years and there is still no news lol. I would just get the ti op, could be waiting months longer for a Vega and judging by the last two sets of cards AMD released I don't hold much hope for it.

I was waiting for vega to see what happened, still no news on vega so I thought sod it and went for the ti, so happy I did, I'm gaming 4k at pretty much 60 fps plus with everything maxed. You have at least 3 months before you can realistically get your hands on what ever vega actually turns out to be. Buy a ti now and enjoy your games.

Right then, I've decided to wait until pay day (next week) - if there's are are still no decent updates on AMDs offering before then I'm going to get the Zotac :)

Thanks everyone!
