Ian Brady dead

to make him suffer. probably makes me a terrible person but I'm glad we inflicted as much suffering on him as was possible by force feeding him and keeping him alive. just a shame we couldn't have prolonged it a bit longer.
I'd rather my taxes weren't spent on sating your deranged bloodlust.

It makes logical sense to have kept him alive. He potentially had more information to give about other victims or where the missing body was. Not much of a chance, but more than the chance of extracting information from a dead body.

That's a very different motivation to wanting to keep him alive and suffering out of sheer vindictiveness, which is what I'm arguing against.

Would like that confirmed by a mod please. Pretty sure I didn't imagine my ban for breaching that "rule" (even though I still don't believe I did).

If people can get away with saying 'Who'? to those recently deceased in this digital age, you can get away with calling a murdering so-and-so anything you wish - just don't bypass the censor as usual.

Since I got banned for calling someone who murdered and tortured people clever and recognised their achievement of winning the conflict they were fighting, I'd like clarification from a mod please. Seems that a lot of people have said worse about Brady in this thread and still aren't banned.

not a bloodlust - he wanted to die to escape what he had done. he should not have been so easily allowed to 'get away' from his crimes. the victims and their families weren't/aren't able to simply walk away from what he did. so quite right we kept him alive to face his punishment. if that meant he was suffering mental/physical torment, so be it.

What a waste of tax payers money all those years. I would have gladly injected him with domestos for free.

10 million Sterling has been mooted as the cost of keeping the beast alive and imprisoned, and for the search efforts. Thankfully the coroner will not allow the release of the body until a funeral director and crematorium step forward who will not release the ashes for scattering on Saddleworth Moors as per the perverts request. Hopefully the usual `uman rights clap trap won't be regurgitated or some EU ruling invoked to give a final kick in the teeth to his victims' relatives... I can only hope the guards at his institution gave him some grief when the opportunity struck. Personally I would have liked the persuasion to give up the location of the secret burial place to have been more robustly enacted.
