If you go for a TN 27" i would reconsider if you think you'll notice pixel inversion in games, that's why i ended up getting the 24" Dell screen instead because it doesn't have that issue.

If you're happy with IPS i don't see why not, I'd do some in depth comparisons before choosing but that's just me there really isn't a perfect screen though so if you're a bit picky it might be hard to choose.
I recently got a 27 inch ACER Predator 1440p TN version as i couldn't justify the extra 250 quid it costs here in Sweden right now... Im sure that would change if i get it on offer but meh.
I also got a 55" OLED TV which at the start blew my mind but now im just "used to it." was it worth 1500 quid? I could have got a 65" for 1000.... Which would have been far more visually impacting.
If you can afford it maybe spend the extra... Its a long term purchase. I wish i got an IPS now, but i am very happy with this to be utterly honest. Its probably with me for the next 5+ years.
