Did Michael Jackson really have a skin condition that made him white?

I have never really looked in to this subject but OC forums has lots of experts, medical or otherwise, and to go with that probably some dermatologists who understand skin conditions and disorders. So my question is; did Michael Jackson really have a gentically inherited skin condition that made his skin white over the years, or did he achieve skin augmentation (sic) by artificial means? If the former, please state the name of the disease/condition/genetics, or, if the later, please state the methodology of cosmetic treatement.

Thanks you!

yes - sort of, basically he'd have been patchy like the below model (though maybe not as symmetrical/aesthetically pleasing) - he didn't turn completely white as a result of his condition, that was his choice. It can actually be treated (but not cured) so maintaining the condition as per below is also a conscious choice. Perhaps it was desirable to be white back in the 80s/90s and perhaps it is desirable to be 'different'/unique these days.

Apparently its true he had Vitiligo. It was confirmed in his autopsy. He used a number of things to try and treat it, including Benoquin, which depigment the skin.

Some people claim he did it because he wanted to be white. Personally I think he was a perfectionist who couldn't stand the idea of people seeing him with a skin condition like that. So he went overboard to remedy the problem. Same with the other crazy plastic surgery. Tragic when you consider what a handsome guy he was before he did all that stuff to himself.

That's not aesthetically pleasing though.

Question people should be really asking is how his children are completely white with blue eyes

Hint: They aren't his biological children
