I was watching X-men tonight and there are certain bits in movies that give me the goosebumps and those are power movies! You know the ones, screaming rage, everyone gets wiped out or saved lol

I know it gets knocked a hell of a lot (and for good reason), but I really like when Jean first goes full Phoenix in 'Last Stand'. If it had been competently directed, that movie could have been great.

Also

The scene where Pierce and the mercenaries first try to take X-23. So well choreographed!

Matrix - Neo.

The bit where he starts fighting smith with one hand is just an awesome, awesome scene. Reminds me of Dragonball Z :D

Most high end superpowers get really boring, because there should be no way they can be overcome. The Enchantress in Suicide Squad was rubbish because she should have been able to stomp them all and she only lost because she was stupid and made a mistake, rather than them actually beating her.

There needs to be balance. A superhero - or villain - needs to be powerful enough to match their opponent without being totally insurmountable. Doc Ock vs Spiderman is probably the high water mark for me.

Dr Manhattan is a different kettle of fish, because he is supposed to embody this trope as being totally over the top powerful, but he's also so disinterested as a result of this power that he doesn't care.

I think Doc Strange had it licked. Bit boring though (pun), so I choose Tennant... he literally told a guy to go **** himself! You can guess how that panned out.

It was the 'throw that coffee in your face' that I just loved. Never met the guy before, never will meet him again, he momentarily inconveniences you, so you get him to main himself for life. Just.
Not even to derive pleasure.
Beastly. Great bad guy.

Invisible Woman (aka Invisible Girl) from the comics. You could do a lot of things if you think about it and not voyeurism before anyone says. Manipulating forcefields gives you power akin to telekinesis and I always remember the Invisible Jet she made and flew. Plus a memorable moment when battling She-Hulk just threw a FF around her then sucked the air out to knock out She-Hulk. If you think about it loads of things you could do especially if you had near unlimited range.
