Hi all,

I drained my loop this morning as I was adding a fitting.

I put the loop back together and filled up the res, switched on PSU and left res go down rinse and repeat.

Now the problem is my D5 starts and then stops, there's no set time it could be 10 seconds or it could be 30. Anyone have any idea why it's doing it ? It was fine all along.

The most obvious thing I can think of is that the power wires are loose somewhere.

I would go with this, pump vibration working a wire loose.

Or

you've got an air pocket inside the pump, and it's running dry and shutting down. Unlikely as you would hear it.

What should I be hearing ? If I adjust the pump up high I get a sound like bubbles going through the pump. Not sure if that could be causing it to shut down? Any idea how remove air pocket if so ?

Edit : I doubt it's a lose wire , I've tried the pump with various different connectors and cables, powers on for awhile then goes off. I've just drained loop now again to look at pump and can't see anything wrong.

2nd Edit : loop is back together, pump is staying on but it seems if I adjust past 4100rpm it switches off and starts up again, when it gets to 4100rpm it does the same. Anything below that and it works no problem.

It's almost as if it's not getting the voltage required to go above 4100rpm? Only thing I can think of.
