Samsung charge screen saver?

so i have noticed (not sure how long ago) that my samsung s6 now has an extra screen before the lock screen when it is charging. its annoying but tbh doesnt do anything other than make me need to swipe across before i can unlock my phone.

has anyone else noticed this or is it something bad on my phone? it doesnt have any adverts or anything along them lines. the only think it has are hints for turning phone to silent at night then if you do that it offers some "relaxing" sleep tunes - wind, flowers (both guesses as i cant rember them) and traffic (dont know how this is relaxing).

i ask here because all the answers on the android forums talk about adverts and stuff. i dont have any of that.

Have you enabled Daydream mode in screen options? I've never enabled it but I think it does something like that.

There's a 3 dot menu button on the top right, does that come up with a settings option? Maybe get a screenshot of it?

ive checked this and it was set to off.

getting it to show doesnt seem to be as easy as just plugging in and charging then trying to access my phone. seems it needs to be on charge for a while before it will show. once it does i will respond with screenshot of that menu.

If you have the Peel Remote app installed try disabling it.
I've disabled that and uninstalled it and removed it from auto update list. It was popping ads up all over the place. Even when I hadn't used the app for weeks after closing it properly the last time I did use it. I never had the lock screen that I have seen others have with that app though.

I checked the 3 dots for extra options while in the screensaver and yes it had disable option in it. I was sure I had checked that before and it had nothing like that in. Guess I was wrong.

That peel remote is a joke the ads are so intrusive it's unreal and it came with the phone so its not as simple as just uninstalling it.

Thanx for the help guys.

So who is it that has made a change to allow apps to advertise like they do now? Android or samsung? And how do I complain about it?

How do you remove Peel Remote? On my Note 4, I only see disable, force stop and uninstall updates in the application manager for Peel Remote.

i went to play store and it had option to uninstall after i had disabled it, then later on i select the app in play store and pressed on the 3 dots in the search bar which had the option to disable auto update which i think only disables that apps auto update.

so much junk i would never use my phone for on ti and whenever i uninstall it it just installs again cos im lazy and have auto update apps set to on lol. never saw the 3 dots in search bar for each app before.

well it seems non of what i said above stopped the peel remote app from redownloading. can disable it and not allow any of the permissions but id rather just not have it.

When you uninstall all you're uninstalling are the updates, the main App stays and as you've found stays on your system and will update again if not disabled. I think the only way to get rid is to root your phone.

I use Package Disabler Pro to disable but it seems Samsung are fighting back against us using these Disablers as they've started making changes to stop them working.
