The sad thing is they actually fully believe this. In the comments on a BBC news video on Youtube about our recent terrorist attack there were loads of Americans saying if this was America they would have been dead before they killed a single person as all the citizens would shoot them :rolleyes:

. Shame these fully trained COD citizens are never around when there is a mass shooting.

If it turns out that the company didn't allow their staff to be armed, then I'm 100% sure the gun nuts over there will just bleat on about "well, that's what happens when you ban guns", and you'll get Billy-Bob saying

Oh I'm sure they would, along with half the crowd and then each other. Then a kid would accidentally shoot his brother and then they'd all get mown down by trigger happy police. :/

After getting slightly miffed by the police response times, a company my friend works for changed their policy and now they actively encourages CCW at work. They used to get robbed quite regularly, but since this change in policy they've only had to attempts and both of those ended with the thieves been held at gunpoint until the police show up.
