Bit of a vague title apologies, my problem is, my old i5 gaming PC/general jack of all trade PC has ended up in my daughters room. The room it resided in is being changed into a nursery, basically we've nowhere to store/use it.

What I'm thinking, it's in a Corsair 300r case, there's an HD 7950 - z77 board with a Thermalright True Spirit 120 Cooler. The only plan B I'm thinking of, is moving it down to the living room to connect to a 42 inch HD TV. Not 100% happy using a full form case/putting it on it's side to fit into the TV unit. Given the predicament, and I'm not up on micro ITX cases, does anyone have any suggestions?

micro ITX doesn't exist, you after micro ATX or mini ITX?

And there's the reason I need help lol

Whatever case can take full size gear, in a smaller form. Was looking there, something like a Thermalright V21, is that the style I'm looking?

Well mini ITX is smaller but they only support one PCI-E slot. Recent mini ITX motherboards are more feature rich than a few years ago, so loss of features other than more than one PCI-E slot isn't really an issue now.

I assume you are only using 1 GPU? And onboard audio is fine for you, if so I say go with mini ITX

umm not sure im missing anything here, is OP planning on buying a new motherboard as well ? and if so might be quite hard to source an obsolete one for socket 1155

Yep one GPU, a HD 7950. I'm using an Asus Xonar DG 5.1 sound card if that makes any difference?

No no, I'm pondering moving the guts of my gaming PC to a smaller case so it can come down to the living room.

ah, do you have an ATX board or micro ATX? Sorry I missunderstood, you want to find the smallest case for your current setup, we need to know what format motherboard you have then.

Correct you have an ATX board, so if you don't want to swap to a smaller board I honest think you may struggle to find a case that is small enough for you.
