Anyone else playing this? It's an upcoming F2P collectable card game based on the Gwent mini-game from the Witcher 3 and made by the same developers. Currently in public beta on PC, Xbox One and PS4.

Never really played anything like this before or been a fan of this kind of game. Haven't played Hearthstone...etc. Saw the public beta on the PSN store and decided to give it a try. Now I'm addicted.

Seems like a really decent stategy card game with loads of depth. Definitely worth a play IMO especially if this is your sort of game.
 
Yep there will be a wipe at launch although you will earn launch bonuses for participating in the beta.

Just played my first ever match online and the dude rage quit after being utterly demolished lmao.
 
Loved Gwent in The Witcher game itself against AI but playing against real people has turned me right off it. Same with most multiplayer really.
 
For the beta there's a tutorial section, a bunch of single player challenges and a practice vs AI option. Then there's casual and ranked online matches.

Why's that? Trash talk or something? I keep meaning to give this a go as I loved Gwent in TW3.

I have this thing where I don't mind getting beaten by a piece of code but if it's a real person, I want to smack them one. Blame it on my mother for not letting me win pass the parcel at my own birthday party. :D
 
Looks like I may have been mistaken about there being a reset for launch. Devs have said they're not planning one.

Bad for me since I literally salvaged every card I had from other factions so I could craft more for the faction I am playing, even the super rare ones. Guess I'm stuck playing as Nilfgaard for the forseeable future lol.
 
Been playing this for a while now and really enjoy it, loved it in witcher 3.

On the subject of qwent ive just sold both of my gwent sets i pre ordered from Jinx a while back, got £200 for them both they were just sitting in the draw so thought ill move them on.
 
Yes, just started with the open beta. My first ccg that I've played for more than 5 minutes and really liking it.

Recommend interested parties to check out swim's ('swimstrim') youtube/twitch (can't get twitch link since its blocked at work)
