Your colleagues are wrong. Cheese and jam on toast is a digusting combination to some people (including me), but that doesn't make people who eat it disgusting. I find cooked cheese disgusting to me. So I don't eat it. Some other people find it delicious to them, so they do eat it. As long as no harm is being done to anyone else, each to their own.

On the subject of odd combinations, when I was a kid I liked golden syrup and brown sugar sandwiches.

Sugar and sugar sandwiches you mean.

Sugar and sugar sandwiches you mean.

Pretty much, but the sugar syrup stopped the sugar crystals from falling out and added a different taste/texture so while the sandwich was the same from a nutritional point of view (awful) it was different from an eating it point of view.

Where did that old cheese toasty recipe thread go where people persecute or praise each-other based on their odd toastie pleasures. I remember trying some of the suggested ones and they were cracking but i can no longer find the thread.

No, but earlier I did have two full rounds of palm oil free peanut butter; reduced salt yeast extract; slice of cheese; thin cut marmalade.;)

I like jam
I absolutely love cheese ( too much maybe )
But both together - no way, that's as bad as chips and gravy ( the only thing gravy should ever go on is a roast dinner )

What a crazy idea it is to put gravy on fried chunks of potato, I mean it's not like they are similar to chunks of potatoes that are oven baked in oil, which are perfectly acceptable to put gravy on.

Mods please add poll :) <3

How many of you part take in the consumption of this delicacy.

Edited to appease a dirty hamster or something along those lines.
No. I think it's important to broaden your horizons but that's just filth. And not in a good way.

1/10 for me.

Cheese and jam? No siree!!!

Buttered toast dipped in a cup of tea though... Delish!!!!!

Gravy on cheesy chips, heaven my boy.
