Dirt 4

Grabbed it for PC, people say the simulation handling has been upgraded from Dirt Rally and feels even better, especially the car weight (in Rally, the cars sometimes felt like they were made of styrofoam).
 
i am going to wait for some in-depth reviews.

i want it to be more like dirt 2 and less like dirt rally.

put dirt 2 on the pc again on sunday and really enjoyed the afternoon playing it, it
will tide me over for a while lol.
 
Crikey didn't realise this was out so soon... I loved Dirt 3, and Dirt Rally. Seems to be getting decent reviews, not sure PC or PS4 on this one..
 
This is one fugly game. After playing Horizon 3 this feels and looks awful...... No HDR either does not help....

TBH this is just Dirt Rally with a few extra races bolted on...

It looks crap and tbh plays crap really disappointed in this one.

A lot of people could not get on with Dirt Rally as it was too much of a 'simulator' and not 'fun'. I only played Dirt Rally with a wheel, I didn't think it was playable really with a pad.

I think this will appeal to those who liked the other Dirt games and from what I played last night with a pad (it was too late to setup the wheel) it was quite fun. If I want to play a simulator I'll play dirt rally in VR for a pick up an play rally game this seems quite good although I agree it's not the best of lookers....

It was, I've put 90h into on a pad and was able to get decent without any assists (still playing it). Also, had a lot more fun than with any other Dirt title. I decided to get 4 after hearing that the simulation handling was an upgrade over rally.

It turns out that it's really not, the game looks worse and there are no real stages anymore.
So it took them two years to decrease location count from 6 to 5, lose Pikes Peak, lose Greece/Finland/Monte Carlo/Germany and make the graphics worse.

If they knew they wouldn't be able to get proper licensing and didn't intend to make it as hardcore as Rally, they should've just gone all out and deliver an another bonkers Dirt 3 and work on getting licenses to expand Rally with paid DLC.
 
FANTASTIC! What a game. So good!

So much better than the last Dirt game. It's a fine blend between Dirt 2 and Dirt Rally.

One gripe, why am I hitting gold in most races first try with a Xbone pad, champion settings and the hardest AI difficulty. Let along with basic introductory cars? It's a little too easy right now.

I've played it a fair bit tonight and have to say really I like it, love the buggy races, good fun.

It may not be the best looking but it's not bad and it's really smooth so thats good enought for me to enjoy it.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one that thought the same. I bought it today, I have to say I have enjoyed playing it but I'm some what under whelmed by the graphics. I actually think Dirt 2 looked much better visually. That said it could just be my rather old TV thats the problem.
 
I've played this a fair bit now and really enjoying it. I've got my wheel setup as I like it now and it's just made it even for enjoyable. Some of the stages actually look really good, the welsh valley rally being one.
 
Have Dirt Rally which I thought was very good, I see this is on sale on PSN for £34.99 (I know its a little cheaper for disc).

Is it a worth a purchase?
