Hi all,

Following on from our time in Computex, we would like to introduce you all to our new flagship product the AERO15.

The laptop has received rave reviews in the Media (Trusted Reviews, Hexus, Bit-tech and more), and is targeted at end users working in a design or creative environment, requiring performance, but also needing all day computing in a stylish and genuinely portable chassis (19mm / 2.1kg).

The stunning screen with just 5mm bezel, has an X-rite Pantone certification, meaning each screen is individually calibrated to match the Pantone Colour Matching System, ideal for content creators, designers and of course for video & photo editing.

This does look good and is tempting me to give back my problem ridden xps15.

Any eta on the 4k screen? Don't need it for gaming as such, more for productivity.

Also any idea on the SSD's that comes with it? NVME or no?

Cant confirm the 4K screen version schedule, but will ask HQ for it.

Both the 512GB & 1TB SSD variants are NVME. The Aero 15 I briefly owned the other week which was the 512GB version same with the LITE-ON CX2 SSD, other owners have been reporting that theirs have been shipped with the Samsung SM961.

Yeah I sent it back sadly as I found a minor black mark behind the screen itself, most likely dust that had accumulated during the production stages of the panel.

IMPORTANT INFO FOR AERO15 OWNERS:

There has been a problem identified when installing Microsoft Creators update, (it deletes the partition installed on machines - this is not a problem isolated to Gigabyte units, it affects other brands as well) but we have the solution on our support download pages.

SO, you should perform the Microsoft "Red Stone 2" (RS2) update first - and then download the fix identified below.

Hello @Atom80 ,

I'm on the verge of ordering an Aero 15. The thing that's
holding me back : there seems to be a common issue
with some keyboard key combinations not being recognised.

It seems there are firmware updates but they apparently
don't solve the issue completely.

Can you comment on what the situation is regarding this?
