Indeed, what a man. There was a sense of honour and nobility about the batman we knew growing up, I'm sure it influenced a generation. Adam West got that, and everything else, he understood it all.

Deeply saddened by this, I had no idea he was in ill health. As a massive fan of batman 66 I hope this makes all the news, everybody has to shine a light over Adam West one last time.

That's a cartoon. Adam West was a live action show. Don't seem to be many clips on YouTube that haven't been messed with but found this:



The dialogue still cracks me up.

I adore that included in the series of things that prevent him disposing of a bomb is a mother duck and her adorable ducklings. :) That was the clip that I was trying to find but I couldn't find the whole thing. The full scene is about three times as long as that building up layer by layer to the final absurd moments. Amazing film.

Oh I remember the actual original. Bit the cartoon with the real voices looks pretty cool.

I wasn't born until 83 and this is still the batman that I watched on TV. Ridiculously camp, but always fun. I hope it's still on TV when my son is old enough to watch it.
 
Wasn't a big fan of the TV show when I was younger, preferred a more serious Batman. But I've grown to appreciate it over the years for the sheer energy and sense of fun. Sad to see Mr West pass and like Roger Moore I will remember him most for his sense of humour.
