Hi guys Silly question I'm looking to build or buy a good pc.

I'm looking to play games like Kingdom come deliverance, Ark and anything else coming up in the coming year or 2.
I'm currently playing with a bit of an old machine

Name: AMD Radeon HD 7700 Series
Adapter Type: AMD Radeon Graphics Processor (0x6837), Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. compatible
Adapter Description: AMD Radeon HD 7700 Series
Resolution: 1440 x 900 x 60 hertz
Bits/Pixel: 32
Processor: Intel core I5-4430 CPU @ 3.00GHz
Installed ram: 8(GB)
System type: 64 bit operating system/ x64 based processor

Any help with finding a good rig is brilliant. My budget is £800 but I'd like a monitior, keyboard and mouse as well, so I'd be willing to go up to £900.

Thanks in advance !

:)

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £672.09
(includes shipping: £13.20)

I think Ryzen is the way forward and is future proof for sure.... this is my idea of a decent build... The GPU is currently out of stock but I'm sure someone could list you a good alternative... As you can see the total comes just shy of £700 so that will give you around £200 to play with to get a Monitor,Keyboard and Mouse.. you'd also need a OS which you can get for a small amount..

You could always change some bits to something that you personally want... may even save some £££ that way

Sounds good, Will this be good enough to play games at decent graphic settings for the next few years?
I'm learning all this as I go. I'd most likey pay extra for at least 1tb or 2tb seagate.

I hear building it yourself is much better and cheaper than getting it built for you anyway so can't wait to try.
I have win 8.1 ready as well so I'll save £££ on that as well
Thank you bud hopefully get 1 or 2 more options as well but this all looks good for my first build :)

Sorry I meant to list the 1TB HDD I have one for my build and cost around the same price... it's great to build it yourself, I've only built a couple over the past few years but I've learnt so much and it feels great when you see it all working...

Yeah at least you have a copy of Windows already so you can freshly put that on... I'm sure you'll get a few more members sharing their ideas which would be great...You may even he the best of both worlds and someone doing you an Intel build...

Hope you manage to get a nice build together bud :)

Thanks bus, hopefully yeah I'm looking for the Graphic's cards now. Memory and CPU I know a bit about but it's the graphics card, compatability and wiring that I've never tried so it'll take some learning but I'll get there.
Also learning about if they will fit in a case easily enough but again live and learn.
Thanks for the help.

No worries mate were all here to help each other... just remember if youre building your own then take your time and you'll be just fine...

As it stands I can get a Radeon RX 580 Nirto+ for £237.97 from tesco so that should be everything. Got the keyboard and other accessories to and have a few bob to spend on a better case if I want.

How about second hand bud... could get a 980 for that price... some 980ti's have sold for £220ish on an auction site

Maybe I'm not sure about second hand items is the only problem.

But I think the RX 580 is the latest and it's still under the budget I'll have a look though, not sure what the 980 ti is so I'll look that up now.

hmm seems good.
Only question and sorry for being a pain, but is it really a good item to mix a Geforce Card with a mostly AMD build. I've heard horror stories is all that nvidia doesn't mix well with others ?

Your not being a pain bud always good to ask...

I'm not 100% on this but I've never heard of any issues with GTX series with AMD...

Aye I think I'll go for it anyway, is that the lower end one, I mean will it play games at High graphic alright I know there is 1070 and 1080 now so I'm wondering how old the 1060 is unless its rammped up

Anyway I've got most of the items changed just a couple but I think I'm happy now

You've got 2 cases on there bud, The 1080 is crazy performance.. The 1060 listed is a great card and performance wise will play games at a decent frame rate no problems...

Yeah realised and deleted that abour a minute ago haha Cheers. Yeah I was thinking of going for the 1070 but I'll get the 1060 and in a few months I can just upgrade if it's not to par Got to learn the hard way. Still thanks for all the help. Before I check out I'll find out about the compatabilty between amd and the 1060 I'll finalised everything in a few days after I'm satisfided with it all.

Thanks again bud.

Yeah I think you'll find they will slot straight in bud... Also getting the 1060 you will receive £65 worth of games (Dawn of War 3 & Rocket League) :D
