Could humans ever live harmoniously

Well when we work out how to fold space with dark matter, each religious crack pot hegemony can have there own planet then we can have crusade space wars.

(I am off to the techno wizard planet where all morality of modifying your body with "tech" is the norm)

The only way such a world could exist is if all human beings suddenly have the ability to keep petty quarrels (hate, racism, prejudice, etc etc) on the inside rather than outburst with them. That is really the only way.

Also, consider that more overcrowding will lead to increased violence. Unless we can do something to address the unsustainable global population increases then I'm afraid we're just going experience more violence. Humans were meant to live in family units with limited interaction with other family units.

Yes, we could. However we need a "larger enemy" to contend with.
We are all fighting each other and that will never change. Now, give us a full scale alien invasion and you'd like to think there would be a lot of banding together.
Sovereign state hates everybody outside their own state. Sovereign planet should hate everything outside it's own planet.

We will be fine.

Sure there will be a few up and downs, but as globalisation continues and the world gets smaller and smaller our differences will become less and less.

Scientists from all races/colour/creed have been working in harmony for decades (apart from the paper publishing they are brutal) but no one gets killed.

There are good people and bad people. This has always been the case and always will be. The good thing is that the bad people tend to be unintelligent and get caught for their crimes.

Or maybe they only catch the unintelligent ones so it skews the statistics?
