I'm left wondering if it is more the exception to the rule though... getting money to correct the paint is understandable, but getting the extra cash for all the 'niggles' over a year after purchase...

Makes me think that as a backup it's worth putting a proportion of the purchase on car finance, depending on the actual deal.

As far as I know BMW have footed it to me, and its now down to their legal team if they want to go after the director of the company.

Buying expensive stuff with finance is always a good idea simply for the protection it affords you when things go wrong. (As long as it is the right type of finance)
