I used to use IMDB for the forums to see what people had to say about the film. I do agree with them, it had turned into a cesspool of bickering children but you could gleams an idea of what the film was like.
Now they have gone and it seems that the critic reviews are bought and paid for, the only thing it offers in the way of truth is cast members bios and their previous films, which is now all I use it for.
I go to RT for everything else.
Seems to me that IMDB has terrible terrible ratings. For instance Slamma Jamma http://www.imdb.com/title/tt5319866/ get's an 8.0 from 700 votes. Not a massive amount but this film is not well acted, cliche riddled B movie worth a 3/4.0 at best.
With a lot of the info avalible elsewhere, what is the point of IMDB?
