EE 4G 4G max speed query

Speeds will depend on which mast you’re connecting to and how many other people are using it.

Some masts will give me as low as 1Mb, most will give between 20-80 with one in particular giving me speeds like this.

Okay i did speed test on three and ee in same room(kitchen) same area and these are the results at the same time as well.

Not bad for 23 pounds a month i recommend three for people who want unlimited data heh.

Thanks for the info. Seems like I'm getting less than what it states really for d/l speeds although upload speeds are there (but not really any use for me). Might see how it goes over next day or two and will give them a call
you are getting less as unfortunately, your phone doesn't support carrier aggregation and only 20MHz of bandwidth. I've got the same phone and am in the same situation. For some reason its been limited.

https://www.motorola.co.uk/products/moto-g-gen-4

it only supports Lte cat 4

I get between 20-60Mbps most of the time. I wouldn't want it faster because I'd only get annoyed by the fact I only have 32GB month allowance.

edit: Just to clarify, this is my home internet/PC with a 4G mifi router thingy as I can't have a fixed line. I'd never use this sort of bandwidth on mobile.

Thanks for the info guys.

That's interesting rashlan although I've tested it earlier today whilst in Canary wharf and the speeds were stellar.

Yes thats true but its because there is a massive rollout of 2.6 Ghz (35 Mhz) and 1.8 Ghz (20 Mhz) capacity at the Canary Wharf. Its just That the phone can connect to just 20Mhz on one band. If you had a galaxy s8 you'd be getting closer to 300 Mbps or more.

I'm in a worse position as i'm on vodafone. they have 10 Mhz at 800Mhz, 10 Mhz at 2.1Ghz and 45 Mhz at 2.6 Ghz so can only get the full 20Mhz allocation if im in a 2.6 Ghz location.

Thanks. It's all too technically for me now (not so clued up on phone tech lol).
Im guessing those speeds are exclusive for the Canary wharf area but elsewhere will be more standard speeds.

Yeah, you can see anywhere they have the extra capacity rolled out by ticking the red "4G+" on their coverage map. Although for some reason its showing the red areas today.
