Only thing that lets it down is the 60Hz Screen and 5400RPM HDD vs 7200RPM :)
That said brilliant spec :)

^ This, im currently starting the process of an RMA with ocuk for an £2000 aorus. That im pretty sure this the 580 1700 would demolish. How is 580 vs 1070 performance anyway?

I completely agree though i would much rather see 120hz and a 7200 drive. At least it has an NVMe boot though.

According to Asus RX 580 beats 1060 6G, but of course 1070 is still comfortably ahead. But the Ryzen CPU absolutely demolishes even the 7820KH mobile CPU, they are vastly quicker.

Yes I cried when Asus said 60Hz but still 60fps with Freesync is quite a glorious thing so all is well. :)

It is absolutely. Im curious, do you know when these might be in stock? What are the rules/etiquette are regarding this? but if they are available soon whats the likelihood of me bagging one of these in lieu of my aorus in the RMA section.

Kind regards,

Harry

Due in a few weeks, maybe this month all being well. No idea on the RMA front, you really need to discuss with James in RMA.

Heat an noise is my concern. If Ryzen 1600 and whatever the Vega equivalent to the GTX1060 can be put in a laptop that you don't need be 8 Pack with ear defenders to live with, I am sold!

I am buying one for myself, so I shall review it and let you guys know, but I am not expecting silence or cool in a laptop so powerful, but its going to be my desktop replacement because seriously there is no need for a desktop when a laptop can be purchased for £1500 thats so powerful. Plus I can use it to power my 38" LG and 4k OLED TV. :)

I was looking for a £1k laptop but you are right, I will stretch the extra for the 1600 model if it isn't horrid to live with.

I imagine AMD are charging OEMs quite a bit less than Intel/Nv for their parts, will have an interesting effect when more start trickling though, especially the 1500/1400 CPUs
