Hi

I need to post a 27inch monitor in original box and want to know a good courier to use. I had a quote from Parcelforce of £24 48 hr delivery. Is this good or is there a better one

thanks.

not sure how good or bad but just make sure that the monitor is actually covered by the insurance. a lot of couriers standard insurance does not cover monitors, in fact as far as I know quite a few won't even entertain transporting a monitor.

thanks so much for the help guys...that's why I love ocuk forums...no ******** on here lol

fully star swearies please

Test your packaging by throwing it over your own fence. If it survives then any of them should be fine.

it makes no difference it all depends on the local staff who handle it, just make sure it is adequately packed and insured.
and you'll be able to get it much cheaper than parcelforce just get some quotes. There's even comparison sites like parcelmonkey

I reckon you'll struggle to get it much cheaper if you actually want it insured. IIRC PF/DPD/Interlink are the only couriers who cover monitors against damage.

I'm pretty sure Parcelforce insurance doesn't cover monitors. They told me so when I sent one a few months back, but it was a low value monitor so I wasn't bothered.

well the guy at the post office didn't say anything when I put it on the scales there to weigh it...he just said is it a monitor and I said yea and said value on £200...then he gave me the price.

Cumin guys, leave op alone and chili.

OP, which ever courier provider you use, just make sure you package the monitor securely and insure it for its value. I've often found DPD to have the best service but this differs depending on location.
