The Mist - TV series

First 30mins is family/teenage garbage followed by things getting gradually better. The characters are all rubbish from what is established in the first episode. Overall it wasn't the best start to a show imo.
It was nice that they kept Mrs. Carmody in the show :)

This is pretty bad. I lasted roughly about 6 minutes before giving up. Terrible and cheap looking actors who deliver unconvincing lines in an unconvincing manner. I expect this will end up on Dave or something or being cancelled.

Can't help but feel this is another Under the Dome/Containment type TV show.

As for the acting, i thought it was on par with the movie.

Whilst i did like the movie, the acting and script was pretty dire. (my opinion)

Hopefully it is early days and the show will pick up.

Oh my god, this has to be worst C-cast of $5 per episode actors cable channel could find. If it wasn't for that aussie support actress from Vikings, the entire cast would be straight from a morning soap opera on channel 1072. Complete with leading actors you wouldn't give 20 pence about, weirdly disfigured alien looking kids doing gooey eyes in every scene and YouTube level CGI. It is as if it was designed to burn money and fail.

Finally watched the three episodes so far - I'll give the show a chance.

It definitely has an Under the Dome/Walking Dead character/personality heavily feel to it. The latter of which is in line with the movie.

It is very slow moving so far and some of the characters are beginning to develop by episode 3. So far the show seems to be establishing the characters and setting up the foundations of the survivors remaining at that shopping mall place.

Really liked the movie but this is terrible, i'm sorry. Like really bad. The characters are just plain annoying and the acting quality just isn't there. Damn shame.

I want to watch it to see how bad it is after reading this :D. Shame as I was really hoping this would be good. Ah well.

Still watching it also, just on the off chance something interesting happens. End of every episode i feel cheated and perplexed as to why i am still watching this poo.

After episode 6 I'm out. It's reaching Under the Dome levels of stupidly/hilariousness.

I got an email saying they'll put the whole series on Netflix on 25th Aug. I may try and get through it and see what it's actually like in totality. :)

I really wouldn't bother. I think they spent more money on having people regularly Creosoting the 'actors' than they did on the effects and the writing goes from trying to get you to feel empathy for the gay lads troubles
to giving him a massive heel turn and making him to be a manipulative, predatory murderer
.

The only good things about it are the incredibly short opening titles (I wish more shows would do away with 10 min title sequences) and Frances Conroy, who looks like she's dropped enough MDMA to kill a herd of Aberdeen Angus' and has more ham than a Madrid butcher.

Why do they keep producing rubbish when there is a great story just waiting to be told right and in this case it just needs explaining further.

It's like they are dumbing down TV or trying to push stereotypes.
