Mine was in for 13.5 hours from 00:00.
Our twins came via c section
You (male) sit in the corner of this huge room like a spare tool while your Mrs is sat on a operating table on her own as about 15 people rush around her , must be a very scary thing not only for her but for her thinking about their children.
I will never forget how brave my mrs was that day, a lot braver than I would have thought
Incidently when finished and put in the cool down room thingy we heard some bird giving it the beans as her baby was comming , kind of made me happy about the c section, our kids were breached so had no choice but it was all done with in a very short period of time
I came home that night grabbed myself a beer and shed some man tears .. emotional day
Good luck buddy

My experience of the c-section wasn't like that at all, in my case (twice) I sat by my wife's head and held her hand for the whole procedure. Then when baby was born, I helped to hold the baby to her chest whilst they stitched her up.
We are consultant lead just now (first pregnancy) and I think we are essentially going to be asked whether we want a section or not.... As opposed to them telling us what they suggest!
Would all of you who have been through this jump at the chance to have a section scheduled if offered or would you and your other half's take the chance of natural birth if it was possible? In proper limbo about this.

Ah ****. Best of luck. My view is the moment anything starts going different (induction/sweep/etc), demand a c-section (which you're perfectly entitled to do).
From my (admittedly limited, anecdotal) experience it's going to end up being a c-section, and you avoid all the unpleasantness in between.
We've been lucky in that our two have been fairly straightforward natural births, but our 3rd's due in October and that's our agreed plan of action.
How come your gf's been induced early? Is the baby looking big?
they most certainly are, given all my other half went through I figured that the 1 would be enough but nope she now wants another - our little lady turned 2 yesterday. women really are amazing.Women are amazing.
Update: I have a new son, contractions continued through the night, at 730 this morning the midwife broke her waters and 30 minutes later he shot out all 7lbs of him. Mother and baby doing great so great they want to send us home.![]()
