Hi. I'm looking at a new build with a nVidia 1080Ti, but I'm after a new monitor for it as well. At the moment I only have a HP S2331a 23" lcd monitor. Yeah, it's pretty poor though better than my last one which was even smaller, so I'm definitely looking for something better.

So I wanted something around a 27" 144hz this time, something that could help the new build shine. I'm looking to spend around £250, possibly more if it's a good one. Thankyou.

Well, for £250 you won't get much of a monitor at 27"!

I see you 'invested' in a 1080Ti, then I think you should 'invest' in the right monitor too.

I would recomend the Aoc Agon AG271QG 27" 2560 x 1440 IPS G-Sync 165Hz

I have this monitor working with an MSI 980Ti Lightning and it's pretty damn good to say the least - nice clean line asthetics and good hight adjustment in the stand - not to mention the crisp bright colours (once you calibrate it properly from out of the box) 144 to 165Hz and g-sync to boot - best £530 (from Overclockers) I've spent on a monitor, it is £600 now unfortunatly!

I've been on the lookout for a new monitor and this might just fit the bill. Got a 1080ti about 3 months ago but my current monitor is only a 1080p 144Hz.

Bit the bullet and picked up this monitor last night for £560 from elsewhere. Plugged it in and it worked straight away no fuss. Running along side a BenQ XL2720Z 144Hz. What's the best way going about calibrating the monitor like you mentioned?

Without having expensive calibration kit, I use "Calibrize" software to do the job - it's free to download from www.calibrize.com and it does a good job - from there you can manually tweak to your own personal tast, but I find Calibrize does a good job.

Hope this helps

How are you finding performance with the 980ti at 1440?

It's the MSI Lightning I have, so no issue driving 1440p - the fact the monitor also employs G-sync means you don't notice any drop in frame rate if it does occur and I've had this monitor for about 7-8 months and not experience any issues in that time playing anything from RTS games to Tomb Raider - just a very enjoyable experience in my view :)
