Call of Duty WWII (CoD 2017?)

i do think it's mad that they've got american women playable characters in the game. Hearing that woman shouting out 'enemy down' all the time just sounds wrong and takes away from the immersion in my opinion.

Looks very cartoony and flat to me graphically.

Gameplay looks good though, straight up shooting.
agreed - the campaign / trailer looks amazingly epic but this does look flat...that's a good word for it. I'm hoping the new 'war' mode is as teamwork focused as people say it is,..

I hope this game runs like MW;R online. To me that's the best a COD has been online for years.

Because that game isn't filled with;

A million weapons skins
A million weapons
A million taunts etc

This game will probably play relatively well at the start and then it will turn into a **** show around Feb/March next year when the engine cannot cope with everything it has to load.

If they can harness what worked in call of duty 1 and 2 I will be happy.

S&D 5v5 would be what I would be pushing towards if they want to apeal to us 'veterans' :D

S&D will be MP40 w/Silencers and Springfield Snipers w/Bouncing Betties. Was in WAW and I dont doubt it being any different here - but I love it!!! :D.

A quote direct from Michael Condrey
We update packets at 60 times per second in both directions when network bandwidth allows.

So maybe we're finally getting 60hz servers for COD. Although the "when network bandwidth allows" bit makes me slightly pessimistic.

Hasn't he also stated that the supply drop items will only be cosmetic only? I don't believe anything this guy says tbh.

Support drop revenue was over $3 billion last year. They may start with cosmetic but it won't be long until they start putting weapons in and stupid melee weapons and silly dances to use at the end of the round.

Thunder got that figure wrong, that's total for Activision Blizzard which includes overwatch.

They should see people will spend loads on just cosmetic stuff and not add weapons into the RNG boxes.

But it's Activision of course they will in 2018.

Graphics look flat and uninvolving. Could easily have been any FPS from three or four years ago.

Uhm....did you watch World at War videos by mistake?

No, the MP video posted above. Nothing stood out as being remotely modern looking. No volumetric smoke/fog, in fact it looked very simple, but perhaps the maps weren't the best. They didn't seem very big either but I know that's the CoD way. Instant action.

No. He said weapon variants and gear variants will be cosmetic only. BUT he didn't say anything about new weapons. Slightly misleading if you ask me.

Anyone know of the details regarding the beta start? I pre-ordered from the PSN store, do you get emailed the code or just have access from the start having gone through the store? Cheers

Yeah they have.

"During Launch Window"

So save your keys boys for when the weapons start dropping later on. Here's the exact quote from that game informer article

"All loot items will be 'cosmetic-only' and 'thematically appropriate' during the launch window, beyond not clear yet."

Yeah that was always going to happen and anyone who thought other is deluded.

I can't believe some of the big YouTubers actually thought it would remain like that, but I guess they were just doing what they do.
