Counterfeit GTX 1080i's

Happened me before, I ordered a 980ti strix from Amazon and inside the box was an old GTX 275. They accepted the return no bother, coulda been out quite a few quid.
 
Yeah but its a bit dubious these are not really counterfeit 1080's. For them to be counterfeit there needs to be a card that loosely resembles them. These are just boxes filled with weights. Unlike above where you got a different card.

Also anyone wonder why the video is in 240p what phone were they using an old Nokia ? Plus if you watch closely at 0:28 just before he takes it out the box the video jumps/skips as though it was cut. There is also a slightl jump when you zoom in. This also makes it a bit suss. The camera obviously zooms in to show you the barcode/serial but its that poor quality you cant read the label at all. Plus lets face it that room is so full of scrap/junk the contents probably came off the shelf behind.

Smacks of clickbait.
 
I've heard plenty of stories with it happening from the rainforest site.

Even happened at work not long ago.

Ordered 4x 2TB SSDs... went to plug them in in the middle of the night and one was reporting as 120GB. Took it out... it had a 2TB sticker on it but it was rough around the edges... looks like someone's done a swap and sent back their old SSD with a new sticker attached.

Yup, the card i got was purchased as new, so it just seems like a lot of their new and returned stuff gets turfed into the same shelving without anyone really checking on it. Puts me off ordering from there as a lot of things that are "new" could potentially be second hand.
