Hi All,

Just wondering re. memory support for this board. I've got a set of the 16GB Corsair Vengance RGB 3000 kit (This one: http://www.corsair.com/en-gb/vengea...ram-3000mhz-c15-memory-kit-cmr16gx4m2c3000c15) - which isn't on the QVL for my x370 gaming pro carbon.

Should I be worried, or will memory support for this be improved with future BIOS revisions? I'm not too worried about leaving things at 2133 now, just as long as I'm going to be able to get to the stated 3000 eventually...

Has anybody got this combination working, either at 2133 or above? What would you guys do?

I would just do it, I have never (and I mean never ever ever) checked a QVL list and board combo that i have used and never had an issue.

That's the way I'm leaning Stulid - just looking for some reassurance that not being on the QVL doesn't mean will be excluded from future improvements to BIOS updates or similar!

One thing to remember is they cant possibly test everything available, there's just too many options.

I have an X370 Pro Carbon, but different Corsair memory. I researched motherboard options, and came to the conclusion that it's a mostly "luck of the draw" with both the MB and the CPU when it comes to memory support. It runs perfectly @2933Mhz, although it's rated 3200. I suspect the next Bios update will enable 3200Mhz, but if it doesn't I'm not going to lose any sleep over it. My only concern was that the memory would be pegged back to 2400Mhz or less.

New BIOS out for this board, and several other MSI boards bringing them up to speed with AGESA 1.0.0.6 , should help with memory compatibility considerably.

memory appears to be working perfectly however it appears they have bugged up the oc capabilities when manually selecting volts

Hoping my Dominator sticks will run at 2933 with this BIOS update. I'm also hoping that they've fixed the 1.5ghz bug when trying to overclock... but it sounds like they haven't :(
