Kinda like how my gf and I will be testing a 'no processed sugar' thing on our future kids, don't give them a taste for chocolate, candies, or indeed any junk food, from a young age, and see if they develop to reject them and not be addicts like pretty much all us existing adults![]()
The first thing that struck me, was hang on aren't you the guy who was never having kids no way, not me, never? Split with a perfectly wonderful set of breasts because she wanted children and you would rather have the snip

Secondly, I did the sugar thing and crisps etc. It was one of the hardest battles I have ever undertaken, not because of my son or us, but because everyone else tries to feed your kid crap as a treat because the parents are 'mean'. Grandparents tried to do the same and it caused a few issues. I specifically said no easter eggs and they keep going against your wishes like you're not the normal one. They would buy them anyway, I would eat them and one year took a picture of him playing with the empty boxes in the hope they would get the message. He doesn't drink anything except water or the occasional cordial, cereals have to be under 5% sugar. Weetabix, shredded wheat, rice crispies and the like, some of them are horrifically loaded with sugar and branded as though they are healthy or low fat. Most of his sugar comes from fruit, no fruit juice.
We controlled that really well until he started school, it's now tougher but he still hands me over sweets kids give out on birthdays and party bags and I take them to work. The best thing I did from when he was tiny was make a vegetable patch and have him plant all the seeds and water them. For a long while I thought he wouldn't eat meat because he could eat a plate of veges and reject any meat but he does now and adores oily fish too.
As soon as people started hitting him with sugar he started to change his taste and reject stuff he had previously liked but as soon as we got back on top of it he was fine. I do get treated like an oddball but I can live with it, my son's flying and my friends boys are a pain in the backside at school. He can eat all the sugar he wants when he's 16

has to do with it I don't know?
