No it doesn't, thread shows people with common sense tbh. Hornetstinger does have a good frame of mind, but it could be applied better elsewhere is what people are trying to say.

I think people are more suggesting that if he wants to supplement his income he should settle on a part time job that doesn't pay a pittance. Micro-stakes poker, trading, part time bar work, matched betting, delivery driver. All likely better options, and that's without suggesting smack dealing or whoring.
I've done takeaway delivery driver work before all while working a full time day job as like OP says - priority is money.
But that doesn't pay great either and most average takeaways aren't that busy so you will be going back and forwards with one or two deliveries at a time. Not the dozen all inside a mile radius that they sell the delivery driver dream on.

you could give something like Amazon flex a go https://flex.amazon.co.uk and see if the money worth while(i have no idea what the actual rate of pay is but I bet it's a lot less than advertised). Obviously, you should have proper insurance on your car which would be quite a hit.
trouble is despite everyone saying ts all bad ideas, if you need flexibility and can't get overtime in your current job, then such jobs just don't pay well.

Have you worked in a supermarket recently? Flexible yes e.g. you have to be flexible to them as an when they want you in mostly.
Lots of retailers struggle to fill midweek daytime roles as they ca't use cheap school kid labour.
Anyway my real point was shop around, leaflet delivering is going to be sub minimum wage and pretty hard work there are other options out there for casual work such as waiting tables or pulling pints.
Wouldn't it be easier to just put a note on your door?
I done it 30 years ago but only for about a month. We would get picked up from a meeting point and get took to various places for around 4 hours a day. It paid £35 a week which sucked but it was sure better than one of those dozy YTS scheme's that were around back then.
Like I said I did it for a month but it filled a gap until I got a proper job and wage.

1, it wouldn't look very good.
2, the vast majority wouldn't /couldn't read it.
