ok, so how much would you have paid for a gtx1080 before the prices went crazy, minus the age of the card.

So if mining didn't happen, how much would they actually be?

When will a newer gpu come out from nvidia to replace the 1080 series like 900 series?

Also which is the amd equivalent?

I would buy a 1080 for £350, or a 1080ti for £450, hence why i have not got either.

I will buy a vega for £400 If its between 1080 and 1080ti performance.

Good price on the 1080 but its on preorder. How long before you have them in?

They are internal stock, I've set ETA as next Monday but they could happen sooner. They are also reference style blower fan, I need to update the image. :)

GTX 1080 is almost unaffected by mining cause it's inefficient at it. Prices are high cause it's a high end card, it's in demand (by gamers who want price/performance) and there isn't any competition.

This.

Side note though I paid £620 for a 1080ti a couple of month back but bare in mind I bought a gtx 580 for £529.99 nearly 8 years ago. Something to think about.

Are they reference style or actual FE cards? Also is the PCB reference?

I paid £410 for a GTX 580 the week it was released.

Paid £169 for my release day RX480 4GB and it unlocks! As much as I still feel voting for Brexit was and still is the right thing to do, it's certainly become uncomfortable economically for the moment.

Have you seen the GPU clearance section looks like they have updated as in reduced all the card prices.

GTX 1080 FE £389 anyone ?

I'm afraid I would rather pay the extra £60, paying £390 and getting 90 days warranty just isn't worth the risk IMO. Buying anything this close to vega release has to be a bit of a dodgy move also which is why I have decided to wait the 2 weeks out and see what happens to the 1080ti prices in the week or 2 after vega release.

Just think how I felt a month later when AMD released the 6950, which could be unlocked to a 6970 and cost almost half what I paid for my card for pretty much the same performance out of the box!

Some decent AMD prices too.

Be quick.

I was thinking about buying the vest for a laugh but changed my mind.

Odd one or two still need an adjustment, ie the 1070

A quick post in the CS forum usually brings the price down tho! ;)

I was planning to get one of those 2 b grade 1080s. But was waiting till i get paid ...which is usually 12:30am Thursday. Unfortunately for me they were too popular for other OCUK folk to resist lol :(
