It was moved out of GD due to far too much bickering. I'll mention your request to the rest of the team to see if they think the approach should change.

I believe your current stance is the right one. Bringing this back would increase traffic, but it would just increase the moderation workload for little if any benefit.

I think we've proven that the children can't talk nicely, so it's better not talking at all.

Also, Brexit, Trump and Maccy being an admin has really shown that anything is possible in these dystopian times :D What next? Magnolia as Don? Have you all lost your minds? :D :D

I think there's been quite some change in the forum since I first joined. I'm fed up with the amount of sacred cows there are now, criticise some things and boom it's a delete. Disallowing criticism even if it's inarticulate, is the opposite of open mindedness. Yes I agree I don't enjoy mud slinging contests, but the premise of free speech is that, yes, your deepest beliefs could be criticised and you might get upset. That's life. No one has to agree with your beliefs or tip toe around them and likewise you to me. I know that my attitude is not one that is generally accepted by the forum and that's why I don't participate much anymore.

I don't think this is isolated to this forum but as has been said before the internet as a whole. This forum is fantastic though and has provided me with many hours of entertainment, I'll continue to peruse it occasionally.
Well put.
