Damn, the internet is going to be brutal with this considering the reception of their last album.

But I have been a big fan of theirs for a long time, I actually liked by and large most of their work to date with the exception of the latest album. Maybe the reaction was too much for him? I saw reports he was close with Chris Cornell whos birthday would have been today apparently.

Quite the contrary if what I read is to be believed. General outpouring of sadness and sympathy. Very sad that he felt this was his only way out, even sadder is the family left behind.

Not been a fan of their music for a long time but their earlier stuff will always have a place with me and I was a huge fan of Chester. Really shocking news, I suffer from depression myself and it's often something you feel should become less of a problem as you get older but with this and Chris Cornell it really shows that the demons stay with you, rest in peace
