Second values of Ford Mustang and latest mk3.5 focus RS

Shame none of the specials are coming to the UK.

True the clutch can be a bit heavy in stop start traffic, plus it doesn't want to go slow ..LOL.
Seats do seem to settle in with time and use, plus you adapt to them, done similar long drives, (was also at FOS, in the Performance car parking :) ) have the Shell seats, no problems, like them a lot.
I've used mine as daily drive for a while, done 8K in it, now it's a garage queen and I use the Z4 as my daily drive. Depends on your commute, if it's through a busy town then it is bit pointless and the wrong tool for the job.

I got told by an RS owner that next month was meant to be the last month ford will accept orders for an RS (But I no checked to see if that was true with my local ford dealer)

Yeah apparently if you go in they will check the system which shows they are making no more in the factory so all you can buy now is pre reg if you can find one or second hand

I would have expected ford to of removed them from there website or at lest written on the RS page that you can't order one or buy one...

Been to my local ford dealer this afternoon and they said there not taking any more orders for the RS..

There is a production run scheduled for September (albeit in limited numbers) which can be amended to whatever spec people want just now so new orders are still available...

That could be the special, did I hear NB only for UK/EU ? Then it will be a 6-7 year wait for the next RS, if they do one... unlike the Type R that is refreshed what seems like every 6 months LOL

I would love to order one but am not going to mainly due to it just doesn't feel right paying about 35k for what at the end of the day is just a ford focus...

Try spec-ing up the latest Audi RS3. Think I got to 55K, base was about 42K.... "for what at the end of the day is just an A3". I'd still rather have the FRS.
Questioning spending 35K on a car I understand, badge snobbery I don't...
Get a decent test drive then you'll know if it's for you.

But with good residual and would probably cost less over 3 yrs than many cheaper cars

But the fuel bill would be higher

My St gets 18mpg and the RS is meant to do about 5mpg less then an ST
So the RS should do about 13mpg

Be interesting on how many mpg a 5.0 V8 Mustang does

There is no way an RS would do 13mpg with typical use surely. I'd struggle to get that low on the road in my car

Person I know with a M3 V8 gets around 12mpg over here
Ah just seen you are on one of those tiny islands with low speed limits. I guess that's cause it never warms up? They are horrific warming up due to the cat warm up strategy of burning fuel in the exhaust.

Surely you don't do enough miles to make fuel consumption a concern when compared to depreciation ?

Don't do loads of miles these days but used to clock up 15,000 to 20,000 miles per year when I was younger.

Just driving to work and back was 7,500miles per year (And that not counting I use to do a lot of driving from one job to next at work multi times a day)
Even simple things like it use to be 24miles every day just to pick up the girlfriend and take her home again..

Running mine in still but getting 29mpg on my daily commute which includes lots of start/stop when getting close to work and home. I can see it dropping when it has been run in/a few performance mods get added :P

It a real Shame it comes with the shell seats as there not heated if I remember right, also am not sure if the Shell seats are even electric...
Also don't list the sun roof there :(

Mpg could/does improve with miles on the clock, I would switch the stop start off while running in.

Shame no red colour on the special, I wanted one

True shell seats are not leather, not heated, not electric and no height adjust. I kike them.
