So anyone seen this island in Scotland that's for sale for about £325,000.
What gives?
My boss is planning on putting in an offer. Just a massively cheap.

it isn't exactly uncommon to find an island in a colder climate priced around that sort of level - see below there is one here for less than 100k:

not all private islands are going to be atolls in the pacific or located in Barbados with a private marina and resort facilities

but the light house building isn't actually included in the sale, so you'd be sharing your island with whoever owns that

It's a small island at 30 acres, works out over £10k an acre. Another much bigger island linked in the above article works out just £1k an acre. Mind you, it is on the market for over £4m

True, but it would seem no one lives in it

Since the infamous murder, the lighthouse has been owned and managed by the Commissioners for Northern Lighthouses who make regular maintenance visits to the property throughout the year.

So you're pretty much living on the island alone.

For the avoidance of doubt the operational Lighthouse Tower is not part of the sale as it still owned and managed by the Commissioners for Northern Lighthouses. We understand the extent of ownership to extend to the Lighthouse Keepers Cottages, shared courtyard (with the Light Tower) and remainder of the island, including the 3 ruinous cottages - workshops, walled garden, a further small ruin and walled garden on the southern side and a stone barn on the north side. A lease, signed in 1841, permits the lighthouse to operate from the Island, essentially in perpetuity. Since automation in the late 1960's the lighthouse no longer requires full time staffing, and only the lighthouse and Sighting Tower are maintained by the Northern Lighthouse Board. It is anticipated that the Northern Lighthouse Board and the purchasers will share the use, and future maintenance of the jetty wall.

So that reads to me that Commissioners for Northern Lighthouses keep the tower of the lighthouse but the building connected to it is the purchasers premises with a shared courtyard to the tower.

The aerial shots on the video look amazing to be honest. Envious of your boss OP!
