Hi guys.
Ive been waiting for AMD vega release, I started wondering if Nvidia would be coming out with any new GPUs this year ??
The last release I can remember from nvidia was last year.

I'm sure some people are expecting nvidia to release Volta at end of this year for gaming but i doubt it personally. I don't even think the V100 chip is even geared towards gaming.

Reports are that a top tier AMD Vega is between a GTX 1070 and GTX 1080.

Nvidia don't really need to bring anything new out if that is the case.
In fairness it's not like they would even if VEGA was teabagging Pascal on price/performance, they know their name/rep alone will ensure sales until their next gen lands just like in the past.

Volta is coming but reports hint at the start of 2018 for that. I wouldn't be surprised to see it before Christmas though, as NVidia do tend to move quickly.

That's what I'm thinking & if they do it would not be a week before Christmas it would be in enough time to take advantage of the Christmas leadup shopping spree.
A number of sites have released articles in the last week saying it has been brought forward to this year. Another one here

One comes out with something and lots of other sites jump on it and report the same. NVidia will certainly be on the ball though and when it is ready, they will release it. I still expect early 2018 but with the funds NVidia has, this is why I wouldn't be surprised to see it before Chrimbo but only a hunch and nothing more in truth.

I don't disagree with any of that. But I'm praying it will release early

Will upgrade to the next high end Ti, 1080Ti to a 2080 wouldn't be worth the bother for a rather minor upgrade. Guessing 1080Ti to 2080Ti should bring a 60+% boost in perf.
