The Defenders (Marvel)

Wow, i actually thought it looked pretty terrible lol. They need to just bin off ironfist/danny rand as the guy playing him is seriously just a bad actor and the character is not likable at all lol. Show would be better off without him, give sticks more screen time hes a boss.

Looks alright, I do like that they've clearly upped their fight choreography game since Iron Fist, but since that was a dumpster fire, Luke Cage fell apart post Cottonmouth and JJ either needed a 2 arc format or be half as long I remain skeptical.

Hopefully with only having 8 episodes we get a nice, tight story with all the fan service moments we need.

Looks pretty decent, even if it's as crap as Luke cage and ironfist...I'll still end up watching it lol.

Looking forward to this after enjoying DD and JJ. Tried to watch Luke Cage and gave up, was hyped for Iron First but never even bothered after such bad reviews.

Hoping there is a YouTube video to summarise the LC and IF seasons as I still have no intention of enduring them.

I was expecting the worst because of the middling Iron Fist reviews, but it was pretty good IMO.

The fights are poor compared to Daredevil but that's because they didn't give the main guy any time to train before shooting.

JJ is apparently such a marmite tv show, personally I loved it and is a close second behind DD. For me the quality is obvious:

DD > JJ >>>>> IF >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>LC

I think the thing with JJ is it had some good stuff but it needed to be presented differently to get around some big pacing issues. It needed that same 2 arc format Luke Cage had where the first half had the shadow of Kilgrave hung over Jessica while she worked some more normal cases and we still got a sense of who she was when her whole life wasn't upside down thanks to him. Bring Kilgrave into focus around the halfway mark and make him the big bad then. Less time, more impact, you could have even sold it he was the puppet master of the first half. But we got what? 30 minutes of no Kilgrave before everything went into panic mode and never calmed down.

Without going all comic book guy on it, Kilgrave was a perpetual shadow over Jessica's life all through Alias, but he only actually came into focus right at the end and I honestly thing if they'd had someone besides Tennant they could have done that here, but it feels like we got a mandated "we got the Doctor Who guy, the fangirls will turn off if he's not around all the time".

The assistant in DD needs to die a horrible death, the sanctimonious ****! How many people died directly because of her getting all holier than thou? Yeah, that's right bully that person into doing something you want despite it being stupidly dangerous... oh they're dead, again.

Thoroughly enjoyed DD aside from that.

JJ was poor I thought, needed to tell that story in half the number of episodes. Lead actress doesn't have a huge range either!

LC started really well I thought then went pete tong half way through. They kept killing off characters that were more interesting that the rest!

IF half way through now, it's ok so far!

Foggy and the girl(so memorable I cant remember her name) are awful. Good job the rest is decent.
